the episode begins with grissom finding a football player dead in a bathroom. grissom questions a few local people, including a tourist, a cashier, and a nightclub owner. finally the breakthrough comes when willows finds some dna from a fingernail. grissom goes back to the group and finds it was actually a tourist the whole time, whom they had questioned before. grissom says "99 percent of lawyers give the rest a bad name." and the episode fades to black.
