the episode begins with stokes finding a football player dead in a nightclub. stokes questions a few local people, including a computer programmer, a bank teller, and a doctor. finally the breakthrough comes when willows finds some dna from a toenail. stokes goes back to the group and finds it was actually a computer programmer the whole time, whom they had questioned before. grissom says "The only substitute for good manners is fast reflexes." and the episode fades to black.
