the episode begins with grissom finding a lawyer dead in a dumpster. grissom questions a few local people, including a cab driver, a cashier, and a truck driver. finally the breakthrough comes when stokes finds some dna from a pube. grissom goes back to the group and finds it was actually a cab driver the whole time, whom they had questioned before. grissom says "If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence that you tried." and the episode fades to black.
