the episode begins with brass finding a rich gambler dead in a house. brass questions a few local people, including a lawyer, a showgirl, and a nightclub owner. finally the breakthrough comes when grissom finds some dna from a toeprint. brass goes back to the group and finds it was actually a lawyer the whole time, whom they had questioned before. grissom says "Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines." and the episode fades to black.
