the episode begins with grissom finding a drug dealer dead in a hotel room. grissom questions a few local people, including a pimp, a blackjack dealer, and a drunk husband. finally the breakthrough comes when sidle finds some dna from a gun. grissom goes back to the group and finds it was actually a pimp the whole time, whom they had questioned before. grissom says "I intend to live forever - so far so good." and the episode fades to black.
