the episode begins with willows finding a nightclub owner dead in a house. willows questions a few local people, including a lawyer, a mechanic, and a gangbanger. finally the breakthrough comes when brown finds some dna from a spot of blood. willows goes back to the group and finds it was actually a lawyer the whole time, whom they had questioned before. grissom says "If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence that you tried." and the episode fades to black.
