the episode begins with sidle finding a gas station attendant dead in a bathroom. sidle questions a few local people, including an entrepreneur, an author, and an entrepreneur. finally the breakthrough comes when willows finds some dna from a noose. sidle goes back to the group and finds it was actually an entrepreneur the whole time, whom they had questioned before. grissom says "Support bacteria - they're the only culture some people have." and the episode fades to black.
