the episode begins with stokes finding a showgirl dead in a bedroom. stokes questions a few local people, including a pharmacist, a drunk husband, and a famous singer. finally the breakthrough comes when sanders finds some dna from a lead pipe. stokes goes back to the group and finds it was actually a pharmacist the whole time, whom they had questioned before. grissom says "Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it." and the episode fades to black.
