the episode begins with stokes finding a drunk husband dead in a bathroom. stokes questions a few local people, including a mechanic, a drunk husband, and a drug dealer. finally the breakthrough comes when stokes finds some dna from a fingerprint. stokes goes back to the group and finds it was actually a mechanic the whole time, whom they had questioned before. grissom says "The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese." and the episode fades to black.
