the episode begins with brown finding a systems analyst dead in a pool. brown questions a few local people, including a cashier, a livein girlfriend, and a computer programmer. finally the breakthrough comes when willows finds some dna from a drop of semen. brown goes back to the group and finds it was actually a cashier the whole time, whom they had questioned before. grissom says "99 percent of lawyers give the rest a bad name." and the episode fades to black.
