the episode begins with sidle finding a football player dead in a bathroom. sidle questions a few local people, including a pimp, a father, and an ex cop. finally the breakthrough comes when stokes finds some dna from a candlestick. sidle goes back to the group and finds it was actually a pimp the whole time, whom they had questioned before. grissom says "I feel like I'm diagonally parked in a parallel universe." and the episode fades to black.
