the episode begins with willows finding a father dead in a bedroom. willows questions a few local people, including a showgirl, a doctor, and a poker dealer. finally the breakthrough comes when willows finds some dna from a pool of spit. willows goes back to the group and finds it was actually a showgirl the whole time, whom they had questioned before. grissom says "If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence that you tried." and the episode fades to black.
