the episode begins with grissom finding a rich gambler dead in an alley. grissom questions a few local people, including a hooker, a craps dealer, and a craps dealer. finally the breakthrough comes when brown finds some dna from a glob of shit. grissom goes back to the group and finds it was actually a hooker the whole time, whom they had questioned before. grissom says "For every action there is an equal and opposite criticism." and the episode fades to black.
